Grace Cocker: Journalist

Since joining the 1XX News Team in July 2011, I've become known for my caffeine addiction, with 4 cups a day my usual and the record being 12.
It makes me sing everything I do to the tune of "Oh Brandy….", which I am sure is the reason behind Mandy TRYING to wean me off the substance…

On a serious note, it was in my hometown of Havelock (SOUTH; THE ORIGINAL!) where my passion for  journalism was born.

It was during my studies at the NZ Broadcasting School Christchurch, my dreadful caffeine habit was born.

Reporting for 1XX allows me to meet interesting people from all walks of life.
It drives my passion for journalism, with the stress of making deadlines an added bonus.
The Eastern Bay is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have seen, with my view of Ohope Beach a reminder of that every day.

I’m glad I'm here in the Bay, though if Mandy takes away the coffee machine, this could be another story…
