I made the move to the Eastern Bay from the South Island in July 2010, and am so glad I did!

I’m originally from Christchurch, and studied journalism at the NZ Broadcasting School there.

But I love the warmer climes of the Bay – which could possibly be one of the most scenic parts of the whole country.

What I like about reporting for 1XX is that I get to meet such a huge range of interesting people every day.

I love that I get the chance to tell their stories, and talk about the issues that are important to them.

Being a journalist is great because I get to spend my day chatting to people, finding out what’s happening around town, and getting out there into the Eastern Bay community.
