Fishing with the family

Following last weekend's 2k four-way fishing tournament, Eastern Bay anglers have another chance to get out on the water in the quest for prizes.

A family fishing competition will take place out of Opotiki this weekend, with the briefing taking place this evening.

There are no boundaries for the tournament - which is for both boats and surf casting.

Competitors can get prizes for the heaviest snapper, gurnard, kahawai and kingfish.

The final weigh-in for the competition will be on Sunday, followed by a prizegiving that evening.
