Seafire Sinking.
Now you see it. Now you don’t.
More than 120 boats, three aeroplanes, two jet skis and a penguin were there to watch the sinking of the Seafire on the 19th of October. 1XX News editor Sarah Holmes covered the event on board a local charter boat. The former trawler was scuttled off Whale Island to form an artificial reef and photographs taken underwater show that they could not have hoped for a better result!
