Eastern Bay residents converging on Rotorua this weekend for a festival, are being told to behave.
Reggae gig Raggamuffin is on, starting tomorrow, and police are saying they will tolerate no offending during and after the event.
Tactical Response Manager, Inspector Ed van den Broek, says there will be a visible police presence on the roads and in Rotorua, especially at the festival itself.
He says people just need to use commonsense in order to stay out of trouble, especially with a temporary liquor ban in place.
The Inspector also wants those travelling to the event to take care and be vigilant on the road, as there could be an increase in traffic.
