Volunteers needed for SLS nationals

Organisers of the national surf lifesaving championships are calling on locals to come forward to be volunteers.

The event will be held at Ohope beach early next month - with preparations in full swing.

Surf Life Saving Club Spokeswoman Christine Tulloch says they're in desperate need of volunteers.

She says ideally they'd like at least 10 in the work party who help set up the beach.
