What a night!!
20 local personalities went head to head on September 11 to raise money for the Life Education Trust. Representing 1XX and Bayrock, announcer Mark "Should be Illegal" Eagle
knocked his opponent to the canvas on at least two occasions. But in a decision drawing hearty "boos" from the crowd, he was narrowly beaten. Judges named his opponent, Life Education Trust Chairman John Spring, the winner on points.  Congratulations Mark, you’re still a winner in our books!

The children of the Eastern Bay are the big winners following the charity event. $50,000 has been raised for the Eastern Bay of Plenty Life Education Trust , a non-profit organisation that visit Eastern Bay primary and intermediate schools teaching children about how their bodies work, healthy eating and respect so that they can make the right decisions and avoid problems with alcohol and drugs. Proceeds will also go to replacing the trust’s car and truck.
