Tickets on sale for Sunshine and a Plate Festival

10 per cent of the tickets for next year's Sunshine and a Plate Festival have already been snapped up in a matter of days.

The Festival raises money to help cover the half a million dollar operating shortfall for Hospice Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Fundraising and Volunteer Manager Anna Meredith says they decided to pre-release tickets to Friends of Hospice this year, as a way of saying thanks for all their support.

She says the remainder of the tickets go on sale to the public today.

Ms Meredith says they expect many of the Festival events to sell out, and this year might be the swiftest yet.
She says they're adding to the programme this year, bringing back some old favourites and launching some brand new events.
