Boaties frustrated as vessels damaged

Whakatane boaties are voicing frustrations over what they describe as a number of 'menace' swimmers.

As temperatures rise more swimmers have been frequenting the river between the Heads and Whakatane iSite.

Boaties have reported damage to their vessels, people climbing over boats and having a general disregard for other people's properties.

However Senior maritime officer Isaac Tait says the reckless behaviour of a few is spoiling things for others.
