Swearing in ceremonies complete for Eastern Bay councils

Some good experience will be around the table at District Councils in the Eastern Bay.

Kawerau and Opotiki, the last remaining District councils to swear in their mayors and elected members, have both held formal ceremonies today.

The councils have also appointed their deputy mayors.

For Opotiki, councillor Shona Browne has been appointed as deputy, bringing with her three term's experience in council.

In Kawerau Faylene Tunui was reappointed as deputy for another term.
