Murupara residents relieved over new ATM

A Murupara resident is relieved that the town is to get a new ATM.

The town's only ATM was stolen a month ago, and since then there have been doubts whether it would be replaced.

On Friday Westpac Bank said it'll install a new ATM in the Credit Union Central building.

It plans to make the new machine safer from criminals.

Murupara resident Mem Jenner says it's been a struggle to get cash over the last month.

She says she experienced it first hand.

Mem says the community has worked on its faith lately, and its holding faith the community bring itself right.

In the meantime it will be looking at actively engaging one another to look at full security, making sure the town is safe and deal with issues that should’ve been dealt with long ago.
