Eastern Bay police disappointed by driving behaviours

Community Constable Spike Dickey says he is appalled by the driving in the Eastern Bay.

The region has been in national news over the last week - due to various crashes that have happened around the area.

He says most of it comes from drivers trying to multi-task, and being distracted too easily while driving.

This comes after another serious crash at Ohope Hill yesterday.

One person is in hospital with serious injuries after the crash
involving a car and a motorbike at the intersection of Ohope Road and Otarawairere Rd.

Mr Dickey says the driving he is seeing on our roads is just not good enough, and suggests some people need to reread the road code.
