Murupara gets ATM back
There's finally some reprieve for Murupara banking customers -- Westpac has opened its new ATM in the town of Murupara.
It come after the town's only machine was stolen and carried away on a log loader in June -- leaving the town with no banking facilities.
Westpac NZ General Manager of Consumer Banking and Wealth, Simon Power, says the bank has worked with a range of stakeholders, including community leaders and police to get to this end.
He’s grateful for the patience and support shown by the community.
The new ATM has a range of features making it more robust against security threats.
Its located in the shopfront façade of the NZ Credit Union building and offers the same services as the previous machine.
