Police say four people have been arrested, charged with aggravated robbery, in relation to an assault on February nine, near the Warehouse on Kakahoroa Drive.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on Monday and will appear in the Whakatāne District Court on March 12.
Two further men, aged 20 and 36, have been arrested and appeared in the District Court yesterday.
The fourth man, 30-years-old, will appear in court today.
Senior Sergeant Cam MacKinnon previously told 1XX news that this incident shows the need for a police presence in town.
