One Person Seriously Injured in Crash on Wainui Road

Emergency services were notified of an accident in Wainui between Burke Road and Paparoa Road this morning.

Hato Hone St John said it was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 11:52am this morning.

One ambulance, one rapid response unit and one operations manager attended.

One patient was transported to Whakatāne Hospital in a serious condition.

Police were notified of a single vehicle crash on Wainui Road at 11:55am this morning.

Police said the road was partially blocked while emergency services were in attendance, traffic management was in place.
