NZTA said State Highway 2 will be under traffic management until a rolled truck is cleared.
NZTA said the truck rolled near the intersection with Brenner Road.
It advises motorists to expect delays and to follow traffic management when driving through the area.
Hato Hone St John said the incident was a single vehicle crash at 1:45pm, involving a truck going into a drain.
It said there were no reported injuries.
