“Sue Whale is the chair of Arts Whakatāne. Sue always says yes. She puts endless energy and enthusiasm into Arts advocacy, running summer art events, collaborating with other events in the district and organising, applying for funding to arrange visiting art related content comes to Whakatāne.
In addition to being chair of Arts Whakatāne Sue also sits on the Trust Horizon Light up Whakatāne event committee where she coordinates artists, designs and delivers workshops and runs the team of volunteers from arts Whakatāne who support the event over eight nights of the festival.
Sue is awesome and is our Unsung Hero”.
