Four people were arrested, following Thursday afternoon's incident at Michael Hill on The Strand in Whakatāne.
Police said four people ran into the store and took off in a getaway car.
The car was spotted in Wainui before it was spiked and stopped on Stanley Road.
Two people were arrested while two others hid in the bush.
But the other two were caught in Taneatua on Friday and taken into custody.
Sergeant Shane Tailby said all four are due to appear in the Whakatane District Court, charged with aggravated burglary.
