Investigation Underway Following House Fire Near Ōpōtiki

Police alongside Fire and Emergency are now investigating a house fire near Ōpōtiki overnight.
Two fire crews from Ōpōtiki arrived at the scene in Toatoa just before 12.56am.
"The 20m x 15m house was well-involved upon arrival," a Fire and Emergency spokesperson says.
Police were notified at 12.30am. "There was nobody in the property at the time," a Police spokesperson says.
Fire crews left the scene at 3.54am.
Police placed a scene guard overnight and were returning to the scene this morning alongside a Fire and Emergency New Zealand investigator to conduct a scene examination.
