Man Charged With Murder Of Harley Shrimpton Due To Re-Appear In April

The man charged with the murder of Tauranga man, Harley Shrimpton appeared in the Tauranga District Court on Wednesday.


He is now due to re-appear in April - on charges including murder, kidnapping, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and aggravated robbery.


It comes after 28-year-old Shrimpton's body was found at a Western Bay address in December last year.


Shrimpton was last seen in a blue Toyota Prius at the Mount Maunganui McDonald’s carpark on November 3rd.


SunLive reports, the accused is understood to have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

"He has been remanded in custody due to reappear in the Tauranga District Court Wednesday 10th April." a Police spokesperson says.
