It's been a exceptionally wet November so far in the Bay of Plenty.
Data from MetService has confirmed the Bay of Plenty region has experienced twice their average monthly rainfall for November. However, the Eastern Bay of Plenty has received even more than that.
Forecasting Systems Manager, Alec Holden says, "Whakatāne for example has seen 169.4mm compared with its average of 70.3mm i.e., 240% increase and the month isn't even done yet."
Further across the region, Tauranga has seen 149.5mm against it's 72.5mm average and Rotorua has seen 181.3mm compared to it's average of 90.3mm.
