Omaio's Ruahei Demant Named As Finalist For World Rugby Award
Omaio's Ruahei Demant, co-captain of the Black Ferns, has been named as a finalist for the women's 15's player of the year award in the 2022 World Rugby Awards.
Demant his up for the award alongside team mate Portia Woodman, Alex Matthews of England, Laure Sansus of France and Sophie de Goede of Canada.
Fellow Black Ferns, Ruby Tui and Maiakawanakaulani Roos are also finalists for the women’s 15s breakthrough player.
Black Ferns coach, Wayne Smith has also been named as a finalist for Coach of the Year.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Monaco on Monday morning (NZ time).
