One Dead Following SH2 Crash

Police have now confirmed one person has died following a crash on SH2 between Ōpōtiki and Gisborne yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle crash at Otoko just after 4:45pm

"One person died a short time after being transported to hospital, a further two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries," a Police spokesperson says.

Police enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
