One person has died, following a serious motorcycle accident in Waiotahe on Monday afternoon.
"The motorcycle went off the road and into the water at Ohiwa Beach Road around 4pm." A Police spokesperson says.
The person was treated with CPR but died at the scene.
Police say, the Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
It's one of 17 fatalities on New Zealand roads during the official 2022 Christmas New Year holiday period from Friday 23rd December to 6am this morning.
