Whakatāne Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred at Mananui Dairy on James Street at around 1pm yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Helen Hay said four offenders entered the store wearing balaclavas and were armed.
"They did steal some items from the store and left in a stolen yellow Mazda Atenza, which was taken from somewhere in Whakatāne," Hay said.
"We want to hold these offenders accountable." Hay said.
Hay said Police want information regarding either any sightings of the Atenza around the time of the robbery or information that can lead to the identification of the four offenders.
It comes as Police continue to investigate the burglary early yesterday morning at Michael Hill on The Strand.
Anyone with information about both incidents are urged to contact the Police via 105 or Crime Stoppers.
