Whakatāne Police want the public’s help after an attack in Kopeopeo, last month.
Police said, one person was king-hit by a man at the Kope Chinese Takeaways store along King Street on January 16th.
Sergeant Shane Tailby said the offender walked into the takeaways where he struck the victim, knocking him to the ground.
"He then struck him a further 3 to 4 times before getting into a vehicle outside," Tailby said.
Tailby said their investigation is ongoing as Police review CCTV from the incident and want the public’s help.
