Police have now named the person who died following the crash on State Highway 2, Pukehina on Monday afternoon.
He was 39 year-old Andrew John Blakeborough of Morrinsville.
Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends during this difficult time.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
