One lucky Lotto player in Whakatāne will be starting their summer holidays early after a major win in Lotto over the weekend.
The player, who purchased their ticket through MyLotto, won 5.5 million with Powerball First Division in Saturday night's live draw.
The prize was made up of 5 million from Powerball First Division and 500,000 from Lotto First Division.
The Whakatāne winner is now the eighteenth Powerball multi-millionaire for 2022. It comes just a week after a New Plymouth man won 24 million.
Anyone who purchased their ticket through the MyLotto App should check it as soon as possible.
