Whakatāne Police are investigating a pair of early morning burglaries, that hit two local businesses.
Super Liquor in Kopeopeo was ram raided, with Police receiving the report at 2:10am.
Police were called to a burglary at BP on the corner of McAlister and Peace Streets, at about 3:30am.
Senior Sergeant Al Fenwick says, a car was stolen from Peace Street and is believed to be involved in the two burglaries.
Fenwick says, Police believe three offenders were involved and that the car has been recovered.
Enquiries into the Super Liquor ram raid and burglary at BP are ongoing.
