Fire crews attended a second house fire within 24 hours yesterday in the Ōpōtiki District.
Two crews from Ōpōtiki responded to a fire at a 4x5m bach on State Highway 35, Omaio just before 2.30pm.
"The fire was well involved upon arrival" A Fire and Emergency spokesperson says.
Fire and Emergency note the crews attended the scene for 25 minutes with a fire investigator also on site.
It comes, after the house fire on Ōpōtiki's Ford Street on Sunday night.
Sunday night's fire saw two crews from Ōpōtiki and one crew from Ōhope were called to the scene just after 9pm. A second alarm then saw one crew from Taneatua attend as well as one from the Command Unit in Greerton. Crews were in attendance for 1 1/2 hours.
Both fires are now under investigation.
