Two people are in custody after a stolen vehicle was spiked in Te Puke early this morning.
Police received reports around 5.30am of a stolen vehicle driving dangerously on State Highway 29A, Poike.
"Police did not pursue but deployed spikes in front of the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped a short time later and two people were taken into custody near Jellicoe Street, Te Puke," a Police spokesperson says.
According to SunLive, Police said one youth has been arrested and charged with “driving-related charges”.
