Women's rugby continues to grow in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
The upcoming Baywide Women’s Premier Club rugby season includes two new Eastern Bay sides. Galatea, Ruatoki and Rotoiti rugby clubs will field sides for the season.
They are among five brand new teams this season. Other new teams in the competition, include Tauranga's Greeton Marist and Rotorua's Eastern Pirates.
The 2023 lineup in the Baywide competition also includes fellow Eastern Bay teams, Ōpōtiki and Poroporo, as well as Rangataua, Waikite, Tongariro United and Mt Maunganui.
The women's competition kicks off next Sunday.
