NZTA said from Monday the gorge will be open from 6am to 8pm daily, with only stop/go traffic management in place.
From Monday, hourly convoys will be removed for the first time since the Gorge closed in January.
The road will be open daily from 6am to 8pm under stop/go management.
It said spotters will continue to monitor the Goldsmith slip following a slip that closed the road earlier this week.
"There is still loose material on the slope, and the road may close again at short notice if conditions change."
Delays are expected to be up to one hour.

NZTA said the spider digger at the Goldsmith slip site has completed work at the top of the gully.
It said following the completion, night works will take place from Monday next week.
The night works will allow for uninterrupted work periods, while also allowing the road to stay open for motorists during the day.
It said "This is a strong step forward in providing less restrictive access through the gorge."
