Fire and Emergency responded to a natural event call out in Murupara this morning.
FENZ said the incident at 11:36 this morning involved a tree limb falling onto a building.
A spokesperson said the tree was worked on with a chainsaw, and there was no damage to the building.
FENZ crews left the incident after 37 minutes.
They said the scene has been made safe by the crew.
No injuries were reported.
Murupara Community Health Centre & Birthing Unit Well Child Tamariki Ora Kaitiaki Ellie Carston said following intense wind, a tree came down and hit the building.
She said the tree clipped the guttering and roof, as well staff members' car.
"I was at the back of the building, so we were actually having a cup of tea, so I didn't hear it."
The fire brigade was called, and have since moved the branch to an empty neighbouring section.
"The main entrance is clear now, the big branch was down across it, we were just using an alternative access."
She said the tree will need to be cut down, as it is rotting from the inside.
The clinic remains open for the rest of the day.
