Hato Hone St John said it was notified of an accident on Manawahe Road at 12:39pm this afternoon.
It said one helicopter, one rapid response unit, and one ambulance attended the scene.
An operations manager was also in attendance.
One patient was airlifted to Tauranga Hospital in a serious condition.
“We understand this incident to have involved biking,” it said.
