Pedestrian Dies After Crash Near Te Puke

    Police are making enquiries into the circumstances of the crash.

    One person has died following a crash involving a pedestrian near Te Puke on Tuesday night.

    Police said the crash occurred on Te Puke Highway, near Manoeka Road, at about 9.00pm on 1 September.

    The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended the scene and investigations were carried out.

    It has since reopened.

    Police said enquiries into the circumstances of the crash remain ongoing.
