Police are making inquiries into an incident in Ōhope at 5pm.
Police said they received reports of three people entering a premises on Pohutukawa Avenue and demanding cash at around 5pm.
It said, police responded to the incident, and the trio fled the scene in a vehicle.
There were no injuries reported, and police are making area enquiries to see if the trio can be located.
