Ōpōtiki District Council said the boil water notice on the Te Kaha water supply has been lifted.
It said after consecutive days of water testing, the supply now has a ‘pass’ result.
"Council can now confirm the water supply in Te Kaha is safe to drink without boiling."
The notice was put in place last week, Wednesday, 3 June, after recent tests showed the water may not be safe to drink, with "possible bacteria like E coli."
