The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust has been named the 2025 Member of the Year at the New Zealand Federation Awards.
The announcement was made this week at the national conference of the New Zealand Federation of Disability Information Services, held in Auckland.
The award was accepted by the Trust’s CEO, Bronwen Foxx, who has dedicated 27 years to the organisation, alongside information services coordinator Naomi Freeman.
“We were absolutely shocked, as we didn’t even know we were up for the award,” said Foxx. “To win it is such a big deal. We are over the moon.”
The award recognises the team’s dedication to providing inclusive, accessible, and empowering services for people with disabilities, older individuals, and their whānau across the community.
This recognition marks a proud achievement for the Trust, reflecting years of hard work, compassion, and innovation in the disability support sector.
