Police Prove No Tolerance For Anti-Social Driving Behaviour

Eastern Bay Police are cracking down on anti-social driving behaviour across the district.

It follows several incidents across Whakatane and Kawerau recently where local parks and reserves have been ripped up by vehicles.

Police report, a man has been summonsed to court following recent damage to Cutler Reserve in Whakatāne.

"The man faces charges of driving while disqualified, wilful damage and sustained loss of traction," A Police spokesperson says.

"Police had located and spoke with a person of interest nearby."

Police continue to ask anyone who spots any anti-social driving behaviour to contact them on 111 if it's currently happening or 105 after the fact.
