NZTA said there is one stage of work left at Matekerepu Roundabout, and preparation work at teardrop roundabouts well underway.
Now fully open to traffic, Matekerepu Roundabout has only one task left until completion.
One final layer of asphalt is required to seal the road surface and provide added long-term protection against wear and tear.
It said three permanent digital messaging signs will be installed to share updates on journey and event information.
A date is yet to be confirmed for final asphalt works.

Further up the road, at the Waiōtahe Valley Back Road and Ōhiwa Beach Road intersections, establishing works for two tear drop roundabouts are underway.
The Matekerepu site office has been moved to the Waiōtahe Valley Back Road and Ōhiwa Beach Road site.
New site entrances have been established, and NZTA said crews have been working to clear the site and install temporary silt fences.
It said crews are continuing with earthworks, installing settlement pins to monitor ground movement, and bringing in metal to shape the new roundabouts.
The next phase of work will include removing the existing road seal and excavating the bank west of the bridge.
Stop go traffic management will remain in place until the end of February.
NZTA advise allowing extra time when travelling through the area now convoys through the Waioweka Gorge are taking place.
